Barrow Runners raised an impressive £1,306 for Dementia UK, Leicestershire and Rutland, from club social events in the past year. Janet Waters (left), the dementia organisation’s fund-raising chair, presented a certificate of thanks to club president, Jo Chappell, and Barrow Runners’ chairman Andrew Unitt, at an event in April. She thanked the club for the donation, which will go towards supporting Admiral (dementia) Nurses.

The club’s charity this year is Molly’s Gift, which helps local disadvantaged children and young people have more opportunities in sport and physical activity. Well-done runners!
