New arrival at Barrow Health Centre

My Name is Alison Lee and I am the new Practice Manager for Dr Simpson and Partners. I am taking this opportunity to introduce myself and to pass on some information which may be relevant over the coming months.

At the moment we are developing our own website, where we will be able to keep you regularly informed on surgery matters. So watch this space!

We are expecting our supply of vaccine to protect our at-risk patients shortly, and we will be contacting those patients when it arrives. If you have not had your seasonal flu jab yet please make an appointment.

Since my arrival at the beginning of October, I have noticed that every day at least three of four patients fail to attend their appointments. It’s just a phone call to cancel and that appointment can be given to someone else.

As you may be aware our patient list has increased rapidly over the last few years without provision to accommodate extra doctors, so appointments are precious.

It costs the surgery £59 or more for every visit our patients make to the Walk in Centre. This money could be spent on improvements to our service, so please call the surgery first. We have your full medical records and we always have a doctor on call here to treat you.
