Isn’t email wonderful? It’s less intrusive than the phone because you can answer the message when it suits you and it’s as easy to keep
in touch with someone in Birmingham, Bangkok or Bogota as it is in Barrow.We have a bumper email postbag this edition with views
on the future of the Slabs footpath.We also have an message from Australia from a former resident who only has childhood memories
of Barrow. He is tracing his past so his daughters can understand their family history. As I said isn’t email wonderful!

We have a wonderful picture on the front cover of one of Barrow FC’s junior teams.We have recently covered a wide range of sports,
including table tennis, archery, and in this issue football and karate. However I’m sure there is much more going on out there. If you are
